Organize Your Mind

  1. Identify where you are feeling “STUCK.”
  2. WHY do you want to be organized?
  3. Map out your VISION for an organized space. What does it look like?
  4. Pick ONE project/area that you have wanted to get organized.
  5. Take ACTION. Schedule 5-10 minutes every day/week to sort out, discard, clean and organize that space. Give yourself a realistic time frame for getting it done.
  6. Celebrate your success when completed.
  7. Repeat with other spaces/areas.

Organize your Environment

  1. Look around the space you want to organize, identify how does it make you FEEL now? Do you feel distracted, overwhelmed, or un-motivated?
  2. Use tools that help your SENSES feel energized (change your lighting, listen to music that energizes/relaxes you. Use essential oils that invigorate or calm you).
  3. Consider re-painting your space. Colors affect our PHYSICAL & EMOTIONAL responses.
  4. Change out the LAYOUT of your space to allow easier access to items you need the most.
  5. Give all tools/items a HOME and label all storage containers.

Take Action

  1. Create new HABITS to replace old ones. Always put your items back in their home.
  2. Teach your family the SYSTEM you created so that everyone participates.
  3. When you start acting on “auto-pilot” catch yourself and BE PRESENT to what you are doing.
  4. Remember you will not feel like keeping your space organized all the time, force yourself to take the initial step and start with ONE ACTION. All the little actions you take will result in creating a pace that energizes you and brings you CLARITY.
