There are many definitions of freedom for all of us. For America, we celebrate our freedom on July 4th. It marks the day the Declaration of Independence was adopted (July 4, 1776) and the United States officially became its own nation. For others freedom may represent financial freedom from working for someone else. It can also mean the freedom to choose to live the life we love.

What about the freedom from tangible attachments? Attachment to stuff that clutters our perspective and weighs us down. This is the freedom where you are in control of the quantity of things you own and how much space they take up. The quest for a clutter-free life is to find clarity, create space and find your inner happiness and peace. If you find yourself getting anxious over the amount of stuff you own or the piles you have accumulated, then you are ready to take control of your life again.

It may seem obvious that the decluttering process will most likely enhance your life. But there are some hidden benefits of the freedom from clutter in the home and life.
These include:

1. A consistently organized home
2. A healthier home with less dust, allergens, and tripping hazards
3. More space (mental and physical) to focus on what really matters to you
4. The satisfaction of donating, gifting or simply removing excess items from your home
5. The financial benefits of selling certain items or tax deductions for donations
6. The extra time you will have when you no longer have to spend time searching for items around the house
7. A peaceful home life that is free from nagging and frustration for having to tell others in your house to clean up after themselves
8. A sense of pride in your home and knowing that you control the way you live in your space
Are you ready to finally be free from what is crowding your space? Declare your mental and physical freedom from all that does not serve you and start your journey to a happier, less stressed new you.
